At Saline, every quarter, the committee holds a meeting to select the next DAISY Honoree. We review countless nominations and read so many great stories about the extraordinary care our nurses provide. This quarter was a little different when we sat down to review the nominations. We had letter after letter praising the compassion, kindness, and exceptional care received. Each story was better than the next, so it was difficult to choose. As a committee, we made the decision to recognize the Women and Infants department with Saline's first-ever DAISY Team Award. This team exemplifies Saline's values and mission. According to the nominations we received, they are role models of collaboration and teamwork that make a difference in the lives of their patients.
