One nurse was there from the moment we got upstairs to the second my wife gave birth. She was a great coach and mentor and was amazing throughout the whole experience! Another nurse had been there for us for all the feedings and anything else we needed! She's been amazing as well and a great coach for us too! We've had the best experience with all of the staff and can't say how grateful we are for the entire unit!

The staff at W&C is fantastic, welcoming and knowledgeable, helpful and kind.  Kayle – Wow, my initial nurse when I arrived for my induction. She was sweet, calm keen on my needs & reassuring. She was encouraging during the end of labor, especially sure to tell me how great I was doing, which was enormously helpful.  Ena – Jenna without a J was my nurse the majority of my stay. She was fantastic, I wholly feel my stay was so great due to her care. She was efficient and kind, encouraging and helpful and well-paced. She gave space when we needed it but was also quick to help when called.  Her compassion, paired with the energy she brings to the room, is a huge asset to this team.

The entire team has been wonderful. I am actually sad to leave, but so grateful for the care while I stayed.

I enjoyed the three or four nurses who worked with me. They are the best and nicest that I have met and are very professional. The best by far at their jobs.

Thank you to my entire care team – wow! Everyone was amazing every step of the way. Communication was clear, and all the nurses answered my questions so well. Deb and the team who were on during my labor & birth were great at pivoting when things started to move quickly.  She was sensitive to the change in my level of pain and contractions and made sure to adjust our plans and get the doctor right away!  Everyone extended a sense of calm as well as warmth. I really appreciated being able to sleep for a few hours each night by sending Ari over to the nursery, and I trusted that he was in great hands. I also appreciated the team’s willingness to reteach me the things I had forgotten since my kids were born –from newborn bathing to circumcision site care to some of the particulars of breastfeeding.  I also appreciated Bridget for her amazing communication and for reassuring me that my new baby was doing well.

We would like to say thanks to all the nurses who were here to make this experience so perfect. It was so nice to meet all of you and be part of welcoming B into the world and helping us transition into parents.

The Nurse Staff was great! The doctors were great, too. Kim Griffin was a great midwife.  The hospital should keep her around for a long time. She’s the best!

My stay here at SVMC on the maternity floor was amazing. All of my and my son’s nurses were amazing and on top of everything.
