Womens Health Service Line Central Team

Women's Health Central RN Team (Lori, Lee, Bawn Maguire, Natalie Pierce, Kelly Martin Secondary to the need to support our obstetric patients during the Covid-19 pandemic, the WHSL Central RN team very quickly stood up a patient care process to streamline Covid testing for OB patients. Their intervention tremendously increased the patient experience by providing a seamless process for patients to call to speak to a nurse, discuss their symptoms, and be scheduled the same day for a Covid test. Further, the central team would monitor the results and assure all OB patients meeting requirements for monoclonal antibody treatment were promptly contacted and scheduled. This process not only provided peace of mind to our OB patients but also decompressed the volume of patients reporting to the already overwhelmed ED and OB triage areas.
