The APMC Wound Team is an incredible resource for not only the patient but for the nurses as well. This team advocates for patients to ensure they receive the best care possible and are partners in their care. On the Women's Unit, the Wound Care Team is always willing to assist and share their wealth of knowledge. We collaborate together, make recommendations, and share knowledge. Recently, our unit had an extremely complex patient with wounds that our staff nurses are not extremely familiar with. Our wound team stepped in and assisted nurses through dressing changes and made recommendations to physicians to afford the best possible outcome for the patient. We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the Wound Team.
