Wylly Staab, BSN, RNC-NIC

Our son had to be transferred to Children's Hospital Colorado after birth due to a tracheoesophageal fistula requiring surgery. Wylly Staab was assigned to his care team and was truly an angel. She took incredible care of our son through all the ups and downs while providing honesty and reassurance to my wife and me. We always felt so safe in Wylly's care.

My wife had a C-section and was released from the other hospital early so she could be with our son. Wylly was a champion for my wife, making sure she could utilize all the best resources in order to heal while at bedside with our child. Wylly is truly one-of-a-kind!

One great example is after our 5-day-old son had his breathing tube taken out, and his right lung began to collapse - my wife and I were a wreck with anxiety. We were so fortunate to have Wylly come into the day shift to help keep us calm and take things one step at a time while the care team determined the best care plan moving forward. Upon seeing the devastation on our faces, she helped to reassure us while calmly and gently explaining to us what everything meant and what the plan would be. We were so blessed to have Wylly in that moment.
