Xhen had a patient who required a rapid response. The RR team came to assess the patient. It was felt that the patient received appropriate orders and the patient did not need to go to ICU. Xhen was very intuitive that "something just wasn't right". She continued to advocate for her patient. Xhen ended up calling two more rapid responses. The patient was finally transferred to ICU where the patient was found to have a serious condition that required immediate surgery and the patient was placed on a ventilator. I strongly believe because of her persistence and not leaving the patient's bedside for hours, she may have saved this patients life.
