Lilov was home caring for their 2 children this day and took the time to drive to the hospital to deliver the car seat to Myk.
Myk was working in PWMC ED during a very acute day with multiple critical patients needing care at the same time. During this time, it was identified that a parent did not have car seats for an infant and a toddler to get home. Myk spent a lot of time making phone calls in an attempt to find a car seat for these 2 children through the various service lines within the organization without success. Without hesitation, Myk called his wife (Lilov) at home and together they agreed they would give their spare car seat to the parent. Lilov is also a nurse at PWMC who works in our Critical Care unit. Lilov was home caring for their 2 children this day and took the time to drive to the hospital to deliver the car seat to Myk. Myk gave it to the parent and then went above this act of giving to even install it correctly so the ride home was as safe as possible.

These exemplary actions of Lilov and Myk demonstrate their compassion as nursing professionals. Their impeccable personal compassion and actions reflect the values of UVA Community Health Prince William Medical Center as a whole and those of the Emergency and Critical Care specialties. WE are extremely fortunate to have these 2 extraordinary nurses as part of our teams.
