I had this A Fib issue until Nurse Yangwe Atanga spent the entire amount of her free time working tirelessly on identifying the correct medication and the dosage to control the A Fib condition.
I was admitted to UPMC HLC for a bowel blockage of the small intestines then I was discharged for home convalescence and continued treatment. A ten-day stay at UPMC. I have had this issue 4 times previously. This reoccurrence is due to previous surgeries and medical conditions. Shortly before my stay, I was diagnosed with A Fib with flutter. My heart rate would go from 70 to 160 randomly. Needless to say, this affected my treatment as well as the pain control medications that I was receiving during my stay. I had this A Fib issue until Nurse Yangwe Atanga spent the entire amount of her free time working tirelessly on identifying the correct medication and the dosage to control the A Fib condition. Nurse Atanga did this while staying in constant contact with the attending physician from the beginning of her shift to the end while providing the highest level of care and attendance to the other patients in her charge. Shortly before Nurse Atanga ended her shift, she indicated that they had found the answer to the A Fib with 2 new medications. I could see that Nurse Atanga was quite exhausted by the end of her shift. I and my family believe Nurse Atanga should be recognized for their exceptional performance that is in keeping with the highest tradition of medical perfection.
