August 2022 Honoree
Yashmyra Victorian, RN
We received a patient from EMS who came in and was a difficult patient to handle. The patient was in severe pain, screaming, yelling, and cursing. Yash was not the patient's nurse, but she jumped and handled the patient with kindness and respect regardless of the patient's behavior towards her. It was quite refreshing to see that after the patient makes Yash work harder to take care of her, she remains calm and professional. Yash set the standard of no matter what the patient does, her priority is to take care of the patient. After the patient was deemed well to be discharged, the patient expressed gratitude toward Yash. Yash did her job duties and she went beyond taking care of this type of patient. I am grateful to all nurses like Yash who passionately take care of patients wholeheartedly.
Thank you, Yashmyra, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
