Yasinda Kelly, RN
In a single day, Yasinda served as the unit secretary, volunteered to work as a nursing technician, functioned as an experienced bedside nurse, supported the charge nurse responsibilities, and remained an exceptional teammate throughout it all.
When a critically ill patient required immediate intervention and transfer to a higher level of care, Yasinda stepped in without hesitation, using her nursing skills, assisting with the transfer and stabilization, and even staying beyond the end of her shift to ensure the patient was safe and comfortable.
Yasinda is described as someone who embodies everything the DAISY Award represents: extraordinary clinical skill, compassion, leadership, humility, and selfless service.
