Yasming is an all-around caretaker. She cares for her grandmother, who is fighting cancer; she cares for her 6-year-old son as a single mom; and she cares for her students where she works as an emotional support nurse.

Yasming does all of this with a smile and never complains. She is the most selfless person I’ve ever known. On top of being a caregiver, she is pursuing her master's degree to be a mental health nurse practitioner so she can do more to give to her community.

Her resilience, being the first in her family to graduate from college, has exceeded the expectations of her community. She deserves this DAISY award.
