Yedidya Dear, AGACNP-BC,BSN, RN

Yedidya “Diddy” Dear is a double board-certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA), a board-certified menopause specialist, a triple board-certified registered nurse, and a nursing faculty member at Chamberlain University’s Irving Campus.

He was nominated by several students for exemplifying the qualities of an exceptional nurse educator through his passion, compassion, and unwavering dedication to student success. Students consistently praised his willingness to go above and beyond by offering tutoring sessions outside of class, staying late, and making himself available on weekends to help them truly understand pharmacology concepts. His engaging teaching style and ability to simplify complex material transformed pharmacology into a more approachable and enjoyable subject while building students’ confidence and academic success. Through his patience, encouragement, and creative teaching methods, he has inspired students to grow both professionally and personally. Yedidya “Diddy” Dear has demonstrated the qualities of an outstanding nurse educator and is truly deserving of a DAISY Award.
