When I first found out I was going to be here in the hospital for 2‐3 weeks for IV antibiotics, I was freaking out, upset, and told my nurse I wanted to be discharged. Instead of just discharging me and letting me leave, which would have been really bad for me, Yeline not only had compassion toward me but also gave me a much-needed dose of reality. She put me in my place to the point that I stayed to get the help I needed. Not many people would have been brutally honest with me as a patient and I owe her (in my opinion, my life) everything. Without her doing what she did, I feel like I would not be where I am now in a way more healthy state of mind and sober. I’m so thankful for her tough love, and being put in my place changed my mindset and saved my life.
