Yesenia was my nurse and saved both my life and my baby’s life.

I was not the easiest patient, as I do not do well sitting still or abiding by the strict bed rest rules, but Yesenia was so patient with me. After a very long shift, she noticed my son’s heart rate dropping and stayed by my side, continuously monitoring him.

She held my hand while I received my epidural because my fiancé was not allowed in the room during the procedure. She was incredibly supportive and comforting during a moment when I was scared and vulnerable.

I ultimately had to be rushed into an emergency C-section because of the abnormalities in my baby’s vital signs that she recognized. Yesenia stayed hours past the end of her shift to check on me and my baby and make sure we were okay.

Yesenia treated me with so much respect and took better care of me than anyone ever has before.

Yesenia is not only an extremely intelligent and amazing nurse, but she is a true superhero.
