I've worked with Yessenia for over 10 years and I am fond of the great nurse she is. On one occasion she mentioned that she was running at the park with her husband when a two-year-old boy hit his head on a table. The little boy became unresponsive to the pain. He was awake but his banana got stuck in his throat. She performed CPR on the little boy until he spit the banana out of his mouth. The boy started to cry as normal due to pain caused by the impact of hitting his head. She was amazing and saved the little boy's life. The family of the boy sent her a gift the next day for saving his life. It was very touching and even made me cry. As nurses, we encounter many events when we need to act fast to save someone's life. Yessenia did just that in this situation.
