I was at San Dimas Community Hospital when I had an unexpected major surgery and was a patient for over ten days. During that time YiYen Shen stood out as an efficient, compassionate and hard working nurse. She was positive and maintained an upbeat, capable and efficient demeanor while caring for me. She portrayed a love for her responsibilities and I always felt my needs were of the utmost importance. She communicated well and seemed to engage other team members in my care with ease. She took extra time to answer my questions and concerns and try to comfort and ease my concerns.

YiYen displayed a commitment to my needs by being prompt, constantly going over and above her duties to make me more comfortable and secure. She was proactive and checked in frequently causing me rarely to wait for any requests. I was lucky enough to have her care for me after my surgery as she made my recovery go much smoother and my confidence in her care for me enabled me to remain calm and relaxed.
