Yolanda Guzman is one of our triage RNs. She is very competent RN with excellent critical thinking and leadership skills. The reason I want to nominate her is because she was referred a wound patient. This patient had burned herself and she required daily wound care. In the course of 2 weeks Yolanda made arrangements to ensure that she had the time needed to take care of this patient every morning, by reassuring her, delicately taking care of the wound, and being patient. The patient was in pain and uncomfortable, Yolanda showed compassion, patience, personalized attention and quality nursing care during each visit. I am very proud to have Yolanda in our nursing team she is a role model to all of our staff.
