I would like to recognize Yolanda because she provided exceptional, compassionate care during one of the most vulnerable times of my life.

As a first-time mom with no prior experience, I was overwhelmed, disoriented, and anxious, especially coming off a magnesium drip. She took the time to carefully and patiently explain every part of the process to me, making sure I understood what was happening, even when I was struggling to focus.

When I panicked or felt anxious, she always knew how to calm me down and reassure me with genuine kindness and confidence.

She went above and beyond by helping me care for my newborn, teaching me things step by step without ever making me feel embarrassed or rushed. She advocated for me by helping me ask the right questions to the doctors and ensured I had the supplies and support I needed to feel more comfortable and confident.

Her care extended to my family as well. She made sure my husband was comfortable and even helped ensure his DoorDash food orders made it to the right place.

We were hospitalized for six days, and throughout that entire time, she was the one standout nurse who truly kept me grounded and sane.

She didn't just do her job; she showed genuine care, empathy, and humanity.

I will never forget the impact she had on my birth experience, and I am deeply grateful for her presence during such an emotionally and physically challenging time.
