Yossi treated my daughter the way practically anyone, who has a loved one in the hospital - especially like Neurology ICU - would want their loved one to be treated. When her condition worsened, became critical, and she arrived earlier this year at Neurology ICU at Palmetto Health Richland, Yossi worked hard immediately to see that my daughter had the best care possible. Yossi demonstrated a high level of energy, unusual compassion for my daughter, empathy for her family - especially her Mother, Father, and brothers - and a keen interest in ensuring that she received the best possible care. In fact, Yossi cared for my daughter as if she were his own child. He gave 100 percent. When Yossi left to take care of other patients, he was sorely missed.
As a very touching gesture, Yossi brought our daughter a vial of Holy Water from his travels, and it lies with her now. Yossi is one of the most personable, likeable nurses I have ever met, and I believe her could serve as a role model for other nurses
Thanks to Yossi, we will forever remember the professional care that she received while she was a patient in Neurology ICU. Although I witnessed the work of many outstanding, caring nurses elsewhere in the Carolinas and at Palmetto Health Richland during the past year, I am singling out and nominating Yosef Reuven, RN, for the DAISY Award. Yossi is an extraordinary nurse, and my family and I will never forget him.
