Yves Jon Raphael Valez, RN MSN

Ever since Yves took on the new CNS role on 5 South, he has been a tremendous resource for us, checking in on us if we have any questions, need support, have any concerns. Whenever I asked a question, he took the time to listen and if he couldn't respond at that point, he would follow up and get back to me, usually within the next day. One instance, I asked about how to obtain non dehp tubing for our lipid infusions, as there was a supply issue and a communication issue between the pharmacy and material management department. He worked on the issue the following day, not only emailed me but updated me in person. Within the week, we had the supplies we needed. I'm grateful to have him in this CNS role as he has made working on the unit more manageable, and wish to show my appreciation by nominating him for The DAISY Award. He's truly what an example of an outstanding compassionate nurse should be.
