Yvette was nominated by her patient whom she provided care for during the birth of her child. The patient described feeling safe in Yvette's care and appreciated her knowledge and skills. The patient acknowledged that Yvette had a busy assignment but was never too busy to reassure her and prepare her the birth of her child. Yvette helped to keep her patient calm and focused during contractions. She supported her by holding her hand before and after her cesarean section. Yvette stayed after her shift to comfort the patient and let her know the baby was doing well.
