TMC Values of Compassion, Dedication, Integrity, and Community are high standards to meet. Achieving these Values takes a special person and I believe that Yvette Madero is such a person.
I was admitted to TMC for Quadruple By-Pass Open Heart Surgery. Not needing to drag things out, the surgery went well, and I was eventually placed in the Post Cardiac Care Unit where Yvette was one of my first of many attending nurses. While all of your nurses acted professionally and provided a comfortable environment, Yvette immediately struck me as somebody unique. She showed a higher level of "Compassion, Dedication, Integrity, and Community."
After developing some complications, I was readmitted to TMC for Pericardial Effusion. I was placed on many medications that I did not understand. Yvette took the time to go over each medication, what it was for, the dosage and when each was administered. From this data I created my own spreadsheet and from that point on when drugs were administered each nurse would read through the list, so I knew what I was taking was what the doctor prescribed. I was released from TMC, but again developed complications and had to return for a third time. Yvette was there for me again.
I could go on, but don't think I need to. You have a special person working for you.
