My daughter has been chronically ill since birth, mainly due to Chiari malformation. She's had 2 brain surgeries and multiple other obstacles in life.
Last night after a long delay to have surgery we got a room upstairs. Our roommate was a young toddler with her mother and the noise was giving my daughter a headache. Staff noticed and made a room change. Normally her heart rate plummets low and o2 drops but surgery helped. She did, however, have a bad PTSD moment. Nurse Yvette was a superstar! Without hesitation, she noticed that the issue was not from surgery pain and she took steps to make her comfortable and stable. This has been the most peaceful rest in 10 years.
She went over and beyond. Watching her with staff and other children was amazing. She is outstanding not only professionally but in taking care of the kids lovingly, calmly and attentively. I couldn't have asked for abetter nurse. Thank you for caring for my girl like your own family with love and patience. Yvette is amazing.
