On Jan 3rd, my wife and I brought our 7 year old daughter into your Newnan Piedmont ER with a very low blood sugar in the 30's. Upon arrival, L was immediately brought back and had 4-5 nurses/EMT's attempting to treat her, give her IV's, administer shots, etc. All of the commotion had L very scared and crying.
Yvette came into the room, let us know that she would be L's nurse and took care of the situation. She made all unnecessary staff leave the room and quietly sat down next to L and explained to her what they were doing and why they were doing it.
We were in the ER almost 8 hours and the entire time Yvette was there for L. She brought in playdough, dry erase boards so L could draw, and anything else she could to brighten L's and our day.
Yvette needs to be recognized because she treated our child as if she was her own. This will be a hospital visit that we will never forget, but not for the bad, but because of the GREAT care Yvette took for L!
