Yvonne takes great care in making sure my mother understands what is about to happen by explaining things in English but with a very gentle touch and reassuring demeanor.
Yvonne is an amazing nurse. Full of energy and kind and compassionate. She has been my mother’s nurse for two days and has gone above and beyond to make sure I am kept informed of lab and test results, as well as giving me additional education in areas I am not familiar with.
As an RN myself, for 40 years, when a family member is sick, you are the patient’s daughter, and all previous knowledge goes out the window.
Yvonne has been very gentle with my mother who is Japanese and due to a stroke does not always understand English. Yvonne takes great care in making sure my mother understands what is about to happen by explaining things in English but with a very gentle touch and reassuring demeanor.
I have had several nurses take care of my mother, but she is by far the best in her approach, mannerisms, and the care in which she treats my mother.
She never makes us feel rushed. She is always calm, which helps me, and my family stay calm. Even when she had to call Rapid Response, she stayed with us, and her calmness was infectious.
Yvonne is always positive. I don’t know where she gets her energy. I see her giving the same amount of attention and compassion toward my hospice patients who have been on the fifth floor.
Yvonne is one of those rare nurses that you come across occasionally during many years in your nursing career.
You can tell she loves to care for people, and she always carries herself in a positive and professional manner.
I am so appreciative. Because I knew my mom was in capable hands, I could leave her room to get a quick bite to eat and not worry.
What an excellent nurse!
