My mother was in the Southwest General Hospital's CCE-2nd floor and was not given a very good chance of survival because of her weak heart. I feel my mother's care was excellent from all of her nurses. However, Yvonne's care was superb. She was very curious about my mother's history and spent time reading her records. She took my name and phone number to contact me in case I stepped away. Most importantly, Yvonne made my mother comfortable in her last hours of life. Yvonne and her assistant turned her throughout the night, at least two times, changed her bandages and even combed her hair and washed her face. My mother always took pride in her appearance and I know this made her feel special and loved. Also, Yvonne went out of her way to make my husband and I comfortable throughout our stay with my mom. Yvonne knew when my mom was communicating by blinking and understood her feelings. I am very grateful to have had Yvonne with my mom in her last hours. Thank you and God bless you all.
