Yvonne is the most attentive nurse I have ever seen. She treats all of her infant patients equal. Her positive attitude stands out above all. No matter the situation she always has a positive outlook and is able to calm down any situation. My daughter has been in the special care nursery (for withdrawing off my prescribed medicine) since 11/15/13. A few of the other nurses I felt looked down on me because my daughter was withdrawing. If it wasn't for Yvonne I was going to have her transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital. But once I saw the genuine care and love Yvonne gave her it convinced me to stay.

She is an amazing nurse in more ways than I can put on paper. I hope she is my daughter's nurse the rest of the time we are here. Every morning I see her and she is wide awake and ready to take on the day and take care of what these little ones need. My daughter was not doing well at all and had a feeding tube in her nose. Yvonne was the only one that seemed to have enough patience to bottle feed her so she could learn how to eat instead of trying for 3 minutes then put it in her tube because it was less work that way.

In my eyes she is a hero to these new lives. And she has a special touch with each one. She is a hero in my eyes because of how well my daughter has been taken care of by her. She loves her job and you can see & feel it through her actions, words, jokes, and her mentality while providing care.

Yvonne is not judgemental at all, she sees people for who they are now and not judge them because of their past. I could keep going on and on but these are the reasons I would nominate Yvonne in SCU for the DAISY Award.
