Zach is truly amazing. This graduation is for Cohort 2, but I have seen him work miracles with one of our Cohort 3 residents. She was educated inside the United States in her native country and had a language barrier. She did not know a lot of simple medical terminology that we use daily here in the US. Her clinical experience was limited, and she is also very shy. I had serious concerns that she may not be able to meet the objectives of our program however, Zach happily took her under his wing and worked very hard with her.

She is thriving and successful because of Zach and his hard work with her. He is so patient and kind. He explains things in detail and teaches the residents. He never gets frustrated and takes as much time as is needed with each of them. He treats each resident as an individual and meets them wherever they are at. He never makes them feel bad if they don’t know something that perhaps they should or have little clinical experience. Zach works hard to create and customize his orientation and training to each resident’s individual needs. He is able to genuinely support learning and knows how to gently push them out of their comfort zone to make progress without overwhelming them.

Zach is truly an awesome asset to Kaiser Sacramento and the Regional Nurse Residency Program.
