Zach R Hansen, RN

Zach went above and beyond for my daughter, who is 8 years old, to make her feel comfortable. My daughter knows all about needles. At a young age, she was diagnosed with Spherocytosis Anemia. When Zach talked with my daughter, he made her feel so good. He talked to her about what was going on and what was going to happen. Every step, he talked through it. (And even as a mom, this is scary.) Zach talked and explained to me and my mom (my daughter's grandma) in wording that she would understand. He took his time and made sure everyone in the room understood. When it was time for the IV, he talked my daughter through it. He never was in a rush. Everything he did, he was never rushed. His main concern was my daughter. And his focus was to make this a good experience even though being in the ER is scary. He's an amazing nurse, going above and beyond, even for the parents and grandparents or whoever is in the room. His work ethic and light of the situation made it wonderful. There are not many like him. He is, for sure, a diamond in the rough. This is his calling.
