Zachary Burkey, RN

Zack has been nothing short of extraordinary. I have suffered with ulcerative colitis since I was 13 years old, so knowing the hospitals and nurses is not new to me. Zack has shown TRUE compassion. When I was hysterically crying from the pain and a 104.3 fever he kept me calm and made me know he was on my side and that I was going to be ok. He used quick thinking to find solutions to my pain management. It felt like a friend was taking care of me. He went above and beyond to make sure my comfort, my peace and nerves were always at bay. I don't think I can thank Zack enough for the impact he has left on me and this hospital. I will forever be grateful for whenever I needed something, he did it with a smile and not one complaint. He truly deserves this award. Again, as a patient who has seen a lot of nurses, he truly is one of the best.
