Last week my dad was brought to Grandview by ambulance and was near death with an oxygen saturation in the 60s-80s, flu, pneumonia, ARDS, kidney failure and atrial fibrillation. I was terrified, being a nurse who knows too much, and worried he wouldn't get the care he needed. The CICU staff was amazing. I felt like he was cared for and watched closely. Then, I met Zack. Something about him was so comforting. He was kind and so nice to my dad and my family. He was so professional and smart. I was worried sick over cardioversion and extubation happening. I was worried I wouldn't be available on the day it was supposed to happen and Zack was going to be off the next few days. I don't know how it happened but between God, my dad, and Zack it all happened that day and everything went SO well. Zack did everything he could to help my dad and to keep me informed of everything. I was able to form a bond with Zack and even though my dad was intubated during his shifts, he knows all about him. We are so thankful to have my dad here with us and I truly don't think things would have gone so well without Zack's care. We will always be thankful and I will NEVER forget him! Thanks, Zack!
