Zaid is outstanding. During my stay on G4W, I have had to have multiple dressing changes to my right leg wounds. When I first met him, he arrived in my room and politely introduced himself, and asked if a student could watch him change my dressings. I of course said yes. During the demonstration for the student nurse, Zaid explained in detail each step all the supplies needed, and why he was doing each thing. I was very impressed. He allowed the student some hands-on practice and she was able to perform with pretty good quality. At the end of the teaching, I asked the student to explain what she was taught. She was able to repeat the technique and rationales. He provided excellent teaching.

In my previous job experiences, I was responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of training for new recruits. I can tell you based on my knowledge he was beyond effective. When I praised him, he simply said, "it’s what I do". I think he should be at the top of the heap.

Another time a few days later he returned with the student to perform the dressing change and the student nurse was able to perform more of the dressing with little coaching from him. He would get an A+, 100% for this teaching.

Zaid is effective and efficient. I think his work with wound dressings should be recorded for others to learn from. He maintains a clean technique always. He prepares his supplies so that he can move seamlessly. He never seems to be annoyed at such a messy and cumbersome task. He is open to critique and suggestions from the patient and he is humble. These are all commendable attributes. He does his work so effectively that it should be noticed and recognized by others. And lastly, he makes a mean cup of coffee. And several of my comrades in other rooms would agree. Zaid is an asset. You can quote me on that!
