Zakia Orneas, RN

Zakia Orneas is a compassionate and caring nurse and the absolute best nurse I have come into contact with in my life. I had just come out of open-heart surgery in excruciating pain. Zakia knew I was alert and oriented and stayed by my side faithfully to help ease my pain. Although I was throwing up with an allergy to the pain meds, she still stayed. She tried desperately to distract me by talking to me and making a list of goals. She was in training for the cardiac unit. In my opinion, Zakia should have been the trainer. She even came and hugged me the next day off. Congrats to the best nurse I have ever met. I will never forget you.
