Zaneta Dziedzic provided extraordinary care to my mother after a kidney transplant. Zaneta was the first nurse who received my mom post-transplant on 9 Long. My mom has been hospitalized many times due to her kidney issues and while she has received great care at other hospitals, I have never been so prompted to write a commendation for a particular nurse until having experienced care from Zaneta.

Zaneta Dziedzic loves nursing and loves her patients. Zaneta brought out the “joy of nursing” every day while providing care. She took the time to explain every single medication, she was knowledgeable about any transplant questions we had, she was very attentive, and she was always so encouraging with my mom’s recovery. Zaneta took the time to get to know both my mom and me and provided such a warm environment. We were so lucky to have her as my mom’s nurse, and my mom and I agree that Zaneta was truly exceptional. She is a nurse that is attentive to detail, diligent, an excellent communicator with staff as well as patients and their families, and is committed to providing the best care possible. Both my mom and I never felt like Zaneta rushed her care with my mom.

For me, what stood out the most about Zaneta was her compassion. She knew that the journey to recovery for a transplant patient was difficult but was always so encouraging. We are so thankful to Zaneta for all her compassionate care and cannot thank her enough. Anyone that receives her care can feel that she is truly dedicated and fulfilled by caring for others.
