Zariah McDonald, LPN

I have worked with a lot of nurses, but to be cared for as a patient by Zariah was an honor. Zariah was not only kind and compassionate, but she also took the time to connect. She asked me my why. Why was I having the procedure I did? She further explained that her mother had the same one. She spoke of highs and lows and encouraged my journey with optimism and true care. We had many conversations over the 12 hours I spent under her care, and I will remember all of them through my healing process and long after. Zariah is the kind of nurse you want to see walking down the unit halls, bringing you education as well as medications. She brings an energy that is light and positive, and she embraces us as part of her family. She is incredible, and I am so thankful to have spent time in her care. I can't imagine anyone more deserving of this award.
