J has been with us for a few weeks and a total of 74 days in the hospital. During his stay in the PICU, Zdenka had him for 3-4 days in a row. Being hospitalized is never easy, so Zdenka did her best to make J's stay as happy as possible. He loves to pretend he's a chef, so she made him a pizza oven and microwave out of cardboard! Fake money was printed and handed out to staff so they could stop by his room to order food and buy groceries. Since then, he has made so much pizza and spaghetti! He gets to play and be a kid and has had so much fun serving medical staff.

Zdenka took time out of her day to handcraft a play pizza oven for her patient who loves to play chef. This patient has found joy in his pizza over and staff also are uplifted by ordering pizza from him. This small act of creativity and kindness has brought ear-to-ear smiles to us all.
