January 2026 Honoree
Zilola Musinova, BSN, RN
I met Zilola during a very hard stay in the hospital with complications due to my current history of metastatic pancreatic cancer. She treated me with so much kindness and compassion. Treated me like an old friend instead of just a patient. It is one thing to sympathize with your patient, but in Zilola’s case, she empathized with me, sharing short stories of her daughter and her culture. She took my mind off my unbearable pain and current situation. Whenever I had a spike of pain or needed her assistance with something, she would arrive shortly. She’s the best. She made my hospital stay a little more comfortable. I am truly grateful and thankful to her. She is a great example of a nurse in nursing a patient back to health. This is why I nominate Zilola for the DAISY Award.
