Zoe took care of my two-year-old son on nights and during our stay D had developed a warming connection with her. She would come in and ask how he was doing and the things we needed and then proceeded to tickle D, as he laughed so hard. On one of the nights, Zoe had left the room and D was so upset he was crying and screaming and I asked him what was wrong and he said, "Kiss". I said, "you wanted to kiss Zoe?" and he said, "uh-huh". So when Zoe walked by again I said, "hey Zoe, D wanted to blow you a kiss" and so she came in and D blew her the biggest kiss. Their bond was incredible and it makes a mama happy to see a nurse give so much love and passion to a sick boy. Not only did she give incredible care to my son but she sat with me while I bawled at 0300am and she rubbed my back and gave me her thoughts, ideas, and opinions. I can't thank her enough for being there for not only my son but for me as well.
