She has grown her roots deep and impacted the culture of the unit in a beautiful way. Through each step in her leadership journey, she establishes genuine connections, grows the confidence and competence of those around her, and never backs away from a challenge.
When I think of exceptional leaders, Zoe is at the top of my mind. She has a natural gift of infusing calmness, support, and love for her team while lacing in accountability and empowerment to grow all those she encounters. Starting her career as a new grad RN in the WL ICU, she had continued to soar as a leader through previous roles as an RN3, Rapid Response nurse, and now assistant director. She has grown her roots deep and impacted the culture of the unit in a beautiful way. Through each step in her leadership journey, she establishes genuine connections, grows the confidence and competence of those around her, and never backs away from a challenge. She has a heart of gold that is palpable to the staff she leads and the multidisciplinary team she encounters. Staff routinely share Zoe, which plays a key impact on the happiness and support they feel while at work. She continues to cultivate an environment where staff can arrive to work and be their best, most authentic version of themselves. She is a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion and weaves education into our weekly newsletter, allowing our team to come together and celebrate all the special things that make each of us a unique part of our fantastic team. Her clinical acumen is unparalleled, and she is always seeking to share her knowledge and grow with others. When any member of the team needs help, Zoe never hesitates to jump in. Zoe is a champion for our HAI prevention work, being a catalyst and making a huge impact on our CAUTI and CLABSI numbers. As a result of her leadership, we have been two years without a CLABSI and one year without a CAUTI. Zoe has such a bright future as a leader. She has the innate skills of a leader that she continues to sharpen and grow every single day. I am blessed to have her as a partner and have a front-row view of the tremendous impact she is making system-wide, and I am so excited to see her leadership continue to blossom!
