Zoey Hermiller, BSN, RN

I am nominating Zoey for a DAISY Award on behalf of my mother-in-law. Zoey took care of her multiple days on 3B. My mother-in-law said Zoey was the kindest nurse. She always asked what I needed and “took wonderful care of me.” She made sure my mother-in-law got up to the chair and got her pain medication increased and gave her medication for constipation. She treated my mother-in-law like she was her grandma. 

Then, when my mother-in-law was going back to the skilled nursing facility, Zoey brought her flowers. That touched my mother-in-law very deeply. She told EVERYONE about the flowers and how much that meant to her. Every time she talked about Zoey and her wonderful care, she teared up. She truly touched my mother-in-law when she was ready to give up. 

Thank you so much Zoey for being a compassionate nurse and touching my mother-in-law’s life so positively. You definitely went above and beyond!
