A patient's daughter said Lisa catered to her mom and took extra time to explain what was happening when her mom was put on hospice. Lisa asked the family, "Do you understand what this means?" And when the answer was, "No." she sat down with the family and went into detail to thoroughly explain their questions. The daughter said, "The time she spent with us was extra, it was not scheduled and it was beyond the day-to-day care." Lisa was never too busy to help make any family member more comfortable even though they could tell the floor actually was really busy.

A co-worker said Lisa is very knowledgeable in Oncology resources and has a knack for solving problems when it seems they are out of options. Lisa always has a smile on her face and is quick to make jokes to help brighten someone's day.
Because of Lisa's compassionate and caring efforts, her patients experience a level of care that exemplifies the impact nurses have in creating an environment where patients and families feel at home. Lisa goes above and beyond for the patients and families she cares for.
