Nancy works nights and orients many of our new nurses and does a great job. She is always patient and calm with staff and patients. She comes to all the computer classes and is our biggest resource and is always willing to help any nurse find out how to do things.
She keeps the unit organized and cares that things are available and where they should be. This makes the day and evening shift run smoother and gives nurses more timewithpatients instead of fussing with the computer or looking for something. You can't have patient-centered care when staffspendone-half of their time looking for items or trying to figure out how to do something on thecomputer. Staffdescribeher as the "Queen of EPIC." Every new staff she orients to nights appreciate all she teaches them, as she is helping them to be better nurses.
