Brooke goes above and beyond for, not only her patients but their families as well. Today Brooke had a patient whose wife was at his bedside. The wife had mentioned to Brooke that she was on Warfarin and had not had the time to go get her INR checked because she couldn't get back to her hometown doctor due to her husband being in the hospital. Brooke took the initiative to call the doctor's office here in the health strategies area. She got a wheelchair and wheeled the patient's wife over to the clinic to get her INR checked and brought her back to the room afterward, all while taking care of a full load of patients. She is an exceptional nurse and the type of nurse that I hope to become when I start my nursing career. She is an inspiration to all!
