Deborah received nine nominations for this prestigious honor. One stated, "I love working with Deb. She is smart, efficient, friendly, and a hard worker. I brought my sister to the ER and saw the other side of things, as a concerned family member. She was kind and caring and explained everything that was happening and why. She took care of my mother who was also there as a family member. Her intelligence, her rapid assessment, and treatment made our experience better."
Other nominations stated that Deborah brings happiness to all she encounters every day and is very committed to her work. She is wonderful to her patients and families, incredibly compassionate and understanding with patients, and has a calming effect on those around her due to her happy, pleasant nature. She is able to connect with patients, and numerous times as patients are leaving they want to personally thank Deborah for her compassion.
She always has a smile on her face which uplifts the spirits of her team and the patients. She has a great sense of humor. Deborah is an excellent nurse and has a wonderful rapport with our patients and families.
