Nicholas took care of my husband following his CABG surgery. During this time, his heart was beating fast for long periods of time. My husband was unable to move and had an excessive amount of pain medication. To alleviate the pain, Nicholas changed his position frequently and spoke with him in a soft, kind and reassuring manner. When I had to leave the room, Nicholas remained at the bedside. Nicholas was committed to the goals of the patient and family. He was an advocate for my husband throughout his stay in Open Heart Recovery. Although Nicholas was a young nurse, he was kind, energetic, helpful, knowledgeable and caring.
