Lisa was with me during my hysterectomy and recovery. When I woke up from recovery, I remember being in tremendous pain. She listened to my complaints and addressed them promptly. When she noticed my symptoms were dangerous, she paged my doctor and asked to do an ultrasound to check for internal bleeding. She caught it soon enough for the doctor to do another surgery before it got bad. I still have no perception of time from that day, but after my second recovery, I was informed that I had seriously hemorrhaged, losing 2 pints of blood. I had more than 6 units of blood transfusions and a platelet transfusion and ended up recovering just fine. I never saw her again after that day, but I have thought of her often. Had she not been so attentive, I may not have enjoyed vacationing with my family this summer. She was positive, calming and informative. I'm very thankful for her attentiveness, dedication to her job and quality of care.
