Rachel was born to be a Pediatric Oncology nurse. She "fell in love" with the children while spending summers volunteering at Camp Sunshine, a camp for kids with cancer. Upon graduating from the nursing program at the University of Pennsylvania, Rachel's goal was to work at Boston Children's Hospital, but pediatric experience was required. Rachel attended the U-Penn nursing career fair and was recruited by Maimonides. She planned to stay for only one year and then return to Boston. Hired for Peds 6 in 2010, she never left. "I was hooked on Maimonides."

Since 2012, Rachel has been working in Pediatric Oncology at the Cancer Center. "It's humbling to be in the presence of these kids and their families. I feel honored to help them through these challenging times."

Rachel will be transferring back to Peds 6 in a part-time position so she can attend a pediatric oncology nurse practitioner program at U Penn.
