Below is my attempt to convey how incredible she is, and how lucky you are to have her not only in your professional life but to know her personally as well.
Lucia is solely responsible for our son being here. I realize you might be thinking, no, it takes a village, or there were many more involved. While all of this is certainly true, do yourself a favor and sit down with Lucia for an hour. Allow yourself to feel her extraordinary mindfulness, power, and spirit. Around hour eight of labor, I found myself proactively expressing to Lucia that she literally has a perfect 10 out of 10 on the personality scale. If you have spent time with her, you likely share my sentiment. Lucia is responsible for our baby being here.
Compassion by a nurse is not only to the patient but to the entire family. I too, am awestruck by Lucia's compassion and care just like the Barnes family was with the nurses who provided care to Patrick. The care Lucia provided for my wife, and getting our baby here was exceptional.
