Ashley was my grandmother's day shift nurse all 3 days she was here. Ashley went above and beyond making my granny comfortable while also keeping the family up to date and involved in her care. Granny was admitted for chest pain which turned out to be an MI but she was also severely impacted. Ashley not only had to give multiple meds, she also had to manually disimpact her after many collaborations with the MD. Through all of this, she was still able to show great compassion to my granny and make her smile. On Valentine's Day, Ashley even gave granny one of her chocolate covered strawberries. Granny spoke of Ashley often and stated how much she loved her and the care she received. My family also thinks very highly of her and appreciates all she did. My grandmother and family were involved in all discussions and kept involved with her care by Ashley. Granny was a Hospice patient and has recently passed away. Ashley visited us at the funeral home after she had worked a 12 hour shift.
I see on a daily basis the love and compassion Ashley gives all of her patients, but I can truly say she made my granny, me and my family feel special. On my grandmother's last lucid day, she spoke of Ashley and I feel Ashley should be rewarded for her loving heart and the care she gave to my granny and my family.
