In April of last year, my wife was admitted here at ALMH for about a week for "severe" back pain. Heather was her nurse for several shifts. Her dedication to my wife's care and her ability to listen to our concerns and needs allowed swift and accurate communication with the doctor. This resulted in the necessary transfer to MMC for the surgical care she needed to alleviate her pain.

Approximately fifteen months later, here we are back at ALMH with a new development in my wife's condition. Heather has been a key role player in my wife's pain control and treatment. It brings no coincidence that she remembers our family and picked up right where we left off with her. Heather's personality and professionalism brings a calmness and eases one's anxiety to the situation. She provides comfort thru her honesty and understanding. She is punctual when the need arises. She listens intently to any of our concerns. She explains things in "people" terms and takes extra time if needed when there is confusion. You can see the passion for what she does in her eyes and she wears her heart on her sleeve. She makes us feel like she's just not here to put in the hours - she really cares!
